Returned to stock handlebars and nearly run her dry on test ride. Note to self: check petrol garage opening times before planing where to fill up.   :dl_smiley_banghead:

Went to Squires to see the Triumph 'roadshow'. Very disappointing. They had few bikes and no demo ride outs.

What was better was seeing my brother's new Yamaha XV950 Racer. Nice bike for what it is. And even though it only has a single disc/brake on the front, the brakes are much better then the Strom and made me realise how rubbish mine are (my brother thought my bike had no brakes when he tried them...).

Looks like it's time to change the brake fluid again...  :fix:

Finally got the wheels back in with the new Battlax T30 Evo's fitted, new rear pads fitted (EBC), Secured the centre stand as it was making a break for freedom, 120 mile road test to scrub the tyres in and check everthings working OK. Rear brake very good now, front brake excellent after clean and fluid change. The T30 evo's preformed very very well and were a lot quieter (not as harsh) than the Anakee3's and A40's I've had in the past, not a lot of the rear tyre left one scrubbed   :thumb: Hopefully last longer than the last lot

After collecting all parts required, yesterday I finally got round to replacing my stator, changed the sparkplugs, and filters, fitted new front / rear sprockets & replaced the chain.
All in it took about 8hr's with the odd break for plasters & refreshments

Given a good clean all over, now just got to re-tax it before back on the road.

Well my Givi Airflow screen arrived this afternoon from Italy, I'm pleased to say that both parts turned up with all the fittings. Put it on, and if it works as well as it looks I'm onto a winner, also fitted the mudguard extender on using the plumbers glue as described elsewhere on the forum, all in all I'm well pleased with my minor mods. Roll on 2 weeks time. Europe beckons.
And as a bonus the suns finally arrived too. :sunny: :sunny:

If that bash plate is all same material(all parts ally/all part steel) then get it welded, pop rivets are good for decorative stuff.

Fitted foot peg lowering kit and strapped some weird stuff to it:

I might do something with it but I aren't keen on the way it mounts on the engine case, plus I don't know if I want to trust it for the spain trip. It falling apart may ruin the trip....

Wheels off awaiting new boots.. Michelin PR4's (Trail/Road).
Looking forward to a lap of Europe with the new tyres (the Trailwings still had a little life after 7300m but are now thankfully consigned to history).

I had the same problem, I use Picasa, and when you load the pictures up, if you rotate any that are not the correct way, after you are satisfied that you're happy with them, then save the folder.  ( It's next to the upload icon ) That will then keep them in the right way that you want to see them. If you don't use Picasa, then as I'm no computer buff, I haven't a clue how to do it with anything else other than Picasa. Hope this helps.

Put some sticky-backed foil behind each of the indicator bulbs ...  not entirely convinced, but anything to help visibility! (And rode to an organ recital  :) )

Glee given a thorough clean and check over before my trip to Scotland next weekend. After a 270 mile trip to the Midlands on Friday it was a bit grubby and gear change was quite notchy.
Don't know if this was down to the very hot day or the chain being too tight as it was at the 20mm minimum when came back from service.
I've loosened it off and seems a bit better but today was much cooler.
