Tootle over to Cupar Suzuki to pick up a replacement part this morning. Right in the middle of the showroom is the new DL650 - in yellow, with spoked wheels. Erm, no. Not my kind of yellow. I've seen cars that kind of yellow and after a couple of years they bleach out and look awful.  :icon_no: .. like custard.

Spent the afternoon with the tail assembly off to clean up some wiring and prepare for new set of high viz running lights.

Finished making mark 2 of my bike turntable (very limited turning circle at my digs).

Antenna and Antennae are things that insects and Americans use. I have an Aerial (which is bigger than average)  :thumb:

Taxed her yesterday, (SORN'd over winter).

Off the life support (Optimate) today, new fuel, lubed chain and a brisk 60 miles in the sunshine. Runs like new.

In for the recall next Sat. :fix:, then looking forward to a summer of Strommin'.

It's been into Saltire Suzuki all day today for it's 7.5k service, new Anakee 3 tyres and the stator recall. £521 later I've got it back and after spending the day on an old shitter of a Gladius (courtesy bike) I'm very happy to have her home again.

I picked up a set of cheapie Bar Risers from M&P, they are great value for a tenner but the black painted finish isn't spectacular. So, 15 minutes with a bit of wet and dry, a drop of Etch Primer and some Mat Black and all is well (who has OCD)

Fitted the rear hugger I bought from a fellow forum member,  and also got round to fitting the Givi pannier rails.

Saturday was a nip to Hartside cafe day. A circuitous route through the dales following my mate on his Wing, across to Darlington and home via the A1. The "nip" ended up at 292 miles, and boy was it cold on them thar hills.

Out for a run yesterday to Abergavenny, Brecon, and back to Cardiff via "Dead Sheep Mountain" with my "nearly son-in-law" on his very nice, and a bit special, Aprilia Mille. My Glee did very well keeping up!
(And it's last year's pic... the Aprilia's been "breathed on" again since then  :icon_wink: )

I fitted a Denali Soundbomb (compact) to the Glee. It fits on the OE bracket, same wiring and no need for a Relay.

Sounds good too  :fix:

A customer asked how loud they were last week.
I disappeared out back and got a battery and length of wire.
A few people jumped over the other side of the showroom even though I shouted a warning.
Even the Mini ones are bloody loud!

Fitted a Givi luggage rack.

Took the scenic route home from work.
Had 50 miles of fuel spare. Pretty much took some random directions through the New Forest.
I knew I was lost when I ended up here..............

Good dry day yesterday, so went to Llandovery for a breakfast, back via Brecon and Kington ( just to extend the joy).
This bike just feels better and better :lala: Tyres at correct pressure, nice dry road and it feels like its on rails.
The roads in Wales are great, hardly any traffic and mostly in good condition, those of you that haven't tried it should give it a go.

changed the set up of the fork. Preload 2 more notches, brake release in more than two clicks. brake in lunge 4 more clicks. Before feeling seems more supported but we will see later with a ride at a good pace curves  :lala:

Fitted new chain & sprockets today looks nice and shinny very pleased, the ones I've just removed were the original set and they covered 27000 miles so I was very very pleased indeed . :thumb:
Has any body else got that sort of mileage ???????
