Went to the Bike Shed in London for brunch with the Bishops Stortford bikers. Check out the parking.

Finally got round to fitting the tank ring for the sw motech tank bag I bought from ukiboy, very happy with it.

Also as I don't thing I'll get much chance to ride in the next 2 months or so, I gave her a good clean, liberal spray of ACF50 and fitted an Oxford Solariser under the cover.

I went shopping for her and I bought:-
Crash bars
Air filter
Oxford Hot grips
Paddock stand bobbins
New tyres fitted (A 40s)
Ordered a mudguard extender

Man flu has impeded fitting and photos for a while.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Not today :/ but last week, had the bike serviced and new chain and sprockets fitted. Thanks to Greywolf for providing me with the part number I had a 16t sprocket installed, and what a difference that makes!

Much more comfortable on the longer journeys and feels like a new bike!

Not today but yesterday, did the IAM test on the strom. Examiner very impressed with my bike, particularly when I told him it was returning almost 70mpg (he was on an FJR 1300).
Passed btw.  :happydance:

@DLste - right enjoyed it mate. Feel like I learned a lot and the observers/examiners were great. Didn't make much use of the course book but watched lots of vids instead. IAM admin was a bit shite, they forgot to assign me an examiner after I'd done the pre test assessment and then assigned one that never contacted me which is why I've ended up doing the test so late in the year.
Not been out with local group and you don't need to if you don't want to.
I'd recommend doing some sort of advanced training as we're a vulnerable road user group and that little bit of extra knowledge helps to keep us safe IMHO.

Congrats JonJo, on my list of things to do once I get some time.

Today I only managed to wheel the Glee out of the garage so I could get my knackered table saw out to take to the tip (motor burnt-out last time I turned it on). After wheeling the Glee back in the garage thought I'd best clean the lights & screen as I reckon the grime was a few mil thick. May be able to see now...

(Ought to do my visor too really!!)

Figured it was time for a clean so tried out a few cleaning products. 2 hours on Saturday then 1 hour applying the ACF-50 on Sunday. Quite pleased with the results.

The bottle of Bike cleaner was for the chain and it was excellent.

Lots of miles on wet, mucky roads over the last few days so cleaned and oiled chain. Been wearing my Keis X25 heated jacket a lot lately - well impressed.

Adjusted the mirrors properly. As in lifting up the boot on the mirror stem, slackening the stem nut, swinging the stem out then tightening the stem nut against the base nut.
I've had three stroms and only just realised this could be done. Doh!

You can't break fluid. It isn't stiff enough.  :angry-banghead:
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.

Technically, I am informed, glass is a very viscous fluid...... :stirpot:
