Went from Wee to GSR to Hospital to 2nd GSR to Vee to Glee to Tracer and back to Wee. So .... too much time and a few bikes between so unable to give an educated review. Nothing wrong with a Glee, but I like the body shape of the Wee. I find it is easier to get on and off than the Tracer. That said .... so far I've only rode it in the garage and it may be on a sorn untill February.

I've been wrist deep in muff all evening

First time they've been fitted to the glee, fortunately they go over the handguards OK.
They are a thing of beauty I tell you....

Painted & fitted a spare exhaust heat shield a darker shade of silver as I always thought the original colour was a bit light, the new shade matches the engine colour more closely.

Fitted:
new rad guards
Squanto Tracker
Bigpie Aux power supply (almost  ....   see below)
Fork Gaiters

I put the forks back to correct height after previous owner had dropped the yokes by 10mm or so.  Does anyone know the distance between fixture centres for the rear link. I need to check to find out if the suspension has been lowered.

Does anyone know if there is a spare 12v connection for Heated Grips like there is on the Glee?

Where on the Wee is there a handy ignition switched wire or connection that can be used to  trigger a relay?

I found a permanently powered 12v supply at the rear left in the tail light area. Is that normal?

With the ignition (and headlights) on and engine off, the voltage on the battery drops to 11.5 v is that OK or should I be looking for a replacement. (Just disconnected the Optimate showing two green lights)?

6 year old OE tyres need replacement Anakee 2s or what for road use?

Brockett, the distance between the dog bone centers is 150mm I believe.
12v connection behind the rad for heated grips, ignition switched connection is under the tank (Bigpie Aux fuse box).

Brocket, the orange or orange/red at the horn is a good feed for heated grips without the need for a relay, just use a spade terminal splitter at the horn, job done.

Brockett I got it wrong  :old: dog bones are 140mm standard,
150mm will drop the backend by about 30mm. are you wanting to drop or lift up the back.

I have reset the forks so the caps are level with the top yoke. They were set about 1cm above when I got the bike. I know some riders do this to "quicken up" the steering but I also need to check if it was done to compliment lowering bones at the rear.

The Wee -
Seat off
side covers off
upper body panels off
tank off
Air box off
And I am peed off
I still cannot locate a spare connector nor is there a connector under the tank.  :icon_no:

Any K9 owners out there with advice?

Its a black connector tucked in above the radiator.
Just google "vstrom heated grips connector", cause its hard to find loads of pics posted showing where it is.

Halfords own brand wheel & trim paint. They do lighter & darker shades, this is the darker shade.
A gentle abrasion with a kitchen greenie, degrease. The paint covers quite nicely & not too glossy.

Went out to test a Keis X25 jacket and Keis inner gloves. Jacket is the 2013 model which I got in the sale for £85, about half the price of the current model. Gloves are second hand and cost £20, which is a third of the price of the current models.
Temperature was between 6° - 8°C and I wore just a long sleeved T shirt under the heated jacket and my Hein Gericke jacket over the top. I wore my thin gloves over the heated gloves.
The gloves were shite, being so bulky that I couldn't feel the controls ver well and they just didn't get warm. Took them off after about 5 miles. 0/10.
Jacket was fab. I had it on the lowest setting and I was toasty. The only niggle is that the neck is a bit high and the material is a bit stiff which makes it difficult to fasten the closure on my HG jacket. 8/10
Hear all, see all, say nowt

endintears: :thumb: Thanks you were right with the "google it" hint. A small black thing hiding against a black background in the blackness under the airbox. I will use it to take a switched tapping to power up a relay for the Aux power supply.
