Nothing. Absolutely sod all.

Work really getting in the way. On this day last year I rode 540 miles through Spain and all the way down to Gibraltar. I've done about 540 since.

Shifted the stock screen up to the highest level on my DL650A to see if that helped with the wind noise. Also had a play with the front and rear preload as I was taking the missus out for the first time. Not sure if I noticed any difference.

Fitted new plugs and BMC air filter - induction noise like from inside a huge echo chamber -. Raised the screen to where I'm not sure it's supposed to go, using the bracket's lower 2 bolt holes only, the top 2 are completely clear of the front cowling, works better and holds firm.

Ride out to the Lakes and Hartside Cafe for the Suzuki weekend. Picture of the "Desert" above Derwent water.

Gave mine a good old clean and polish, adjusted the chain, topped up levels and finally changed the rusty old mirror bolts as suggested/requested by Andy at the Wales meet. Took the seller a extra week after sending me the wrong size!!

Took the missus out for our first proper ride together. Think I'm definitely going to get a new screen, thinking the Givi airflow, as there's a fair bit of wind noise above 60mph.

Also bit annoyed as I couldn't attach my tail bag as there's no fixing points, so I'll probably get a top box

I don't think it would be good enough quality Martin it was taken with my phone.
Very rarely use the posh camera these days as the iPhone is really good.

Shame, I had some good pics of mine in earlier years but they were only around 300KB, so no good for the calendar.

Me too, I have become lazy, just use the phone most times out. Note to self: pack camera in tankbag!

A 378 mile run with a small ferry ride thrown in too. Ar$eache is now a thing of the past now that I have my new seat.

This was Lochearnhead at 9.15am

Switched the heated grips on this morning  :icon_no:

Also nearly caught hyperthermia driving down the M1 to Sheffield this morning at 13°c in my summer gear (still not got my Rev It jacket back), but at least had warm hands and it didn't rain.

Also noticed my PR4s are dropping pressure more than my tyres used to. Don't think it's punctures so am wondering if it's the 90° valves I had put on back in December

Edit: S2Rgar, that looks much better than Sheffield did! (Which seat did you buy?)

This one from Sargent Seats -

http://www.sargentcycle.co.uk/acatalog/sargent-Suzuki-vstrom-650-2012-motorcycle-seat.html

I was out on the bike for over 12 hours yesterday and not once did I have an issue with comfort. The seat does not lose shape at all, it could be my best buy yet for the bike  :thumb:

edit.... sorry can't get the link to work

found a photo here

It has a very clever tool kit section built into it which I quite like. Quality bit of kit but it should be at the price

Little service done by myself. New air filter, new brake oil front and rear, new hydraulic clutch oil, new Grip Puppies, 0.2mm copper washer inserted on gear shift pedal pin so no more wobbling around, everything cleaned up... all in all 4 hours of work and I really took my time.

I mounted the screen MRA VT gray smoke. I like it, we're fine, now you just have to try it to see if it works.
