Result. Just think of all that lovely scrap from the old door to make into something useful.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

After a couple of fruitless trips to local hydraulic hose 'specialists' I opted to buy a used oil cooler complete with the pipes. Ordered it yesterday and there was a nice parcel waiting for me at home today  :thumb:
I had it fitted in ten minutes and went for my first blast on the Strom since I bought it.

hmmmm.

My Wife has parking challenges and my bike's front wheel is normally an inch inside the door.

Good job it's my car that's in front of the garage then.

Took it for the first mot, the headlight aim was very good despite seemingly aiming high when riding, particularly on high beam.
I must pop out one night with a ratchet & adjust them.

You sure you don't need to increase the rear preload? My brother kept getting flashed until we increased the rear preload on his versys (shop had said headlight aim was fine)

No, f&r preload/sag has been adjusted and is OK, forks have also been dropped around10mm but full beam is still a bit high, low beam seems OK, oddly enough and never been flashed day or night when on low beam.
Cheers for the suggestion though

If low beam is fine, won't adjusting high beam down reduce low beam? I think my high beams aim high,  but I figured that's the standard set up/purpose of high beams. I never use the high beams anyway - although probably should do really.

That reminds me I ought to check the sag on my suspension as never done it since buying the bike. Good luck adjusting the lights to how you want them  :thumb:

Beam adjustment will alter high & low beams, as with everything it's a case of finding the best compromise :)

Had a Tutoro (must be in the shed somewhere) on an old Enduro bike, always forgot to turn it on  :dl_smiley_banghead:

Turned the idle down from around 1400rpm to circa 1200rpm...no more clunky first/second shifting and it still does not stall on deceleration

Nice job superteco. For an even cleaner look you can hide the oil pipe in the swingarm. there's a hiole on the inside near the shock, pass pipe in here, fish it down the arm and use a bit of wire to hook it out just before the paddock stand bobbin.

Thanks porter but now I have cut the tube. It is short for other way.
In the future I will buy tube from Tutoro and it will be possible.
Thanks too who like the cleaning.

Finally sorted the spontaneous combustion of my Vee. I think my LH exhaust (the one that went cherry red and set fire to the bike) has collapsed inners as it still gets loads hotter than the RH one, you can feel a massive difference if you put your hand close to the outlet and much hotter to touch on the heatshield.

I bunged the Beowulfs on and all sorted. Went for a spin and reminded myself of the lovely fruity sound! Will get the Yoshi-box out and give the fuel a wee tweak too, it'll need it with the free-flowing cans on.

Abandoned my commute to work as was half drowned by having to use summer gear. Popped into GetGeared on my way home and asked them to chase up my Rev It jacket repair as I was soaked and it'll be two weeks on Sunday since I returned the jacket. They said they'd call me in 40 mins, but no call at all today. Customer service isn't what it used to be  :GRR:
