I decided the Water Pump will be matt black, I also found a coupe of beaten up Mirror Extenders so gave them some love.

The finish on the Water Pump was looking pretty good, right up until the point I walked into it (It was hanging to dry at Rat head height)  :shy:

Insurance.
Just had renewal through post, £99.43, so did a gocompare, same company, hastings, £77.19.  Gave them a ring and they did a web match and reduced to £77.19.
Fully comp, protected NCB, £250 excess, and I do about 7,000 miles a year.

Oh, and fitted new brake light switch to the front.

Managed a 90 mile run round the lanes of East Sussex this morning.
Took newly aquired V-bear as pillion, He said having to sit behind me was traumatic (maybe last night's Curry) or my riding style
Anyhow V-bear or Billy as in no mates will have to get used to it as he is going to Spain and maybe Portugal. He told me that on the trip over from China he got seasick so not mentioned the boat to Santander.
Picture below is from Cuckmere valley near Litlington.

Clutch Cover Gasket arrived today along with some other bits and bobs. Painted Water Pump back together and fitted (black is the new silver)  :fix:

I'm now waiting for the left side Tank panel to come back from the painters and my Crash Bars and some other bits to come back from the Powder Coaters

Fitted a centre stand - I hate cente stand springs  :fix: But springs aside, what a really sensible, easy to fit design the Suzuki centre stand is

Changed brake fluid on the front brakes (doing the rears tomorrow).
Wow, what a difference in feel and colour! The bike is 22 months old with 12800 miles on the clock but even after such a relatively short time I couldn't believe how much cleaner and lighter the new fluid looks.
I'll do this job on an annual basis from now on as it's quite straightforward and easy.

Replaced my rear brake pads. Exciting stuff. But then had to go for a ride to test them out... For an hour or three... You know how it is... Ha.

The weather just about held out for us.

This is a view from Mow Cop looking west  out across the Cheshire plains.
