Just fitted Osram Nightbreaker unlimited bulb, measured illuminance in dark garage with original bulb and was 1570 lx now with new bulb (dipped beam h7) its at 2020 lx. A whiter light and when full beam on as well (standard halogen)looks slightly rusty yellow. Don't ask for a picture as I tried and failed. :fix:

I replaced it

After just 14 months of trouble free motoring on my Vee I for some reason decided to sell it. I'm still a little confused why I did it and I regretted seeing it driving away from me.

But I'm giving something else a try for a while, I'll likely be looking for a newer Vee when I replace this blackbird.

Did the oil and filter change, and gave the bike the once-over before heading over tomorrow for the 'alright me 'andsome' tour. :sunny:

No harm to try something different and that bird is as dif from the vee as you can get I suppose, great looking bike and what an engine, had a spin on one before, the riding position wouldn't work for me though, but it's like a ballistic missile when you pin the throttle,
The new vee2 will be a great 2nd hand buy in a few years, make sure and get one with the new ecu though.

Fitted a Bigpie aux fuse box (brilliant) along with a USB socket and some Kirky lights that I bought a while back.  I have taped them on to the crash bars as I have a feeling they won't last very long.....!

Bigpie, a favourite of a painter I used to work with was, "It'll go to to it". This was always said when a customer picked up a car that had been painted and the customer queried the paint match.

"Black to white" was his favoured saying as they drove away.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Took mine over to Windermere with a few mates in search of  :sunny:
Great day out and managed to (mostly) avoid the travellers traffic jams around the Appleby Horse Fair.
By the time we got back to the North East the fog had burnt off here too. Result  :thumb:

Fitted running lights to handguards, need to tidy wiring but pleased with outcome, went ride this afternoon and whilst filtering more than usual moved over, think it helps as they seem a tad blue when viewed from a far.

I'm really pleased, was better than I expected. Hasn't caused any issues with running.

Started it up to come to work, throttle still stuck open, put it back and got the serow out for the commute. Houndkirk is only 15 min away so could be tempted to run down it before heading home.

Mine had a sticking throttle when we went to cadwell, sorted it out by spraying the rear linkage, remove the seat and look near the tank mount, right hand side and you can just about see the linkage. Worth a try  :thumb:
