After spending the weekend cleaning it, and adjusting the chain and throttle slack, finally got out on it   :lala:

Throttle is much smoother with no more jerkiness on closing. Gear changes are super smooth without any clunks (although there is a slight click click from the chain so might be time for new sprockets/chain).

Unfortunately it hasn't helped the blind cage drivers failing to look right on roundabouts   :dl_smiley_banghead:

Hmmm pulled the clutch basket off today to send away for modding, hopefully it cures the bloody annoying vibes  :dl_smiley_banghead:

Through to Mickey Oates Motorcycles in Glasgow for the recall, tyres and service. There was no problem with the recall so that's me all ready for heading of to Rome on 3rd June.

Rode to work, and back again. Shame there was an eight hour gap in between. I guess I have to be there, or they won't pay me!

Rode it for the first time  :lala:
Nothing fancy, just a little trip up the coast to get a feel for it before most people were out of bed❗️
Loved it and managed to avoid (mostly) getting wet  :thumb:

Did a BikeSafe course today with Herts Police. A thought provoking day that has left me with a few things to work on. As a bonus the sun was out to make the day even more enjoyable!

Have to admit though that it is slightly off putting have a police bike so close in your mirrors for so long!

Changed the oil and filter.. £19.50 for 3 litres of castrol power1 from tesco's and £12.00 for a filter and washer. £31.50 all in, dealer wanted £220 for not much more!

Spent the weekend down in Weymouth (my other half's family lives there)
Riding back to Swindon was interesting yesterday, it was my first proper test of the TomTom Rider 400 and it took me down some really nice roads.
But, it was hammering it down.
And the backroads were flooded just south of Avebury.
It was pretty fun riding through all the floods actually, when I got home I literally had to poor water out of my boot  :)
Now I have to clean my bike though

Over the last three days, have installed a Bigpie fuse box (it was supposed to go in my brother's Versys but we never got round to seeing if it'd fit), and wired in some fog lights after removing the strobing mode (pulled the U2 chip off the board). Also wired in a second cigarette socket so I can power the satnav and the camera.

Discovered my soldering skills or my soldering iron is pants!

(Pic below - fog lights are the same brightness, one just needed realigning. No idea why my phone uploads pictures in a random way).

Weather was nice & time off work so fitted some bits I had laying around  :lala:
Centrestand
Exhaust valve cover
Radiator cover
Bodywork & tank protectors
Top box (an unfortunate necessity)

Yesterday, went from a little blast to the Brecon beacons, stopped for a coffee and the usual bacon buttie at a coffee stop over looking the valley in the beacons, beautiful afternoon. Arrived home at about 5pm, started to lube the chain, bike on center stand spinning the back wheel and guess what, nail sticking out of back tyre tread  ###. that's 2 nails in 2 month and 2200 miles. I've had several bikes over the last 20 years and it's the first time I've ever picked up a nail.
So this morning it was down to the local tyre garage, One and a half inch nail removed, tyre now being repaired, luckily it was in the tread not the wall. Can't really complain though still getting nearly 70mpg, this bike seems to just get smoother and smoother the more it gets run in. :lala:

Do you have an item number for them? They seem slightly smaller than the ones on bikes that come with them. Are they any good?

I think I found it. Is it this one?. If so, is it just for one or for the pair?
