Sold a set of E41 panniers on eBay and ordered Trekker 46 and 33 ones at a great price from Motocard.  I think the Trekkers suit better and may keep them on and leave the topbox off, as the norm
2013 650, full Trekker luggage, Givi Airflow, heated grips, scottoiler, hyperpro Spring

240 miles out from Norfolk to Melton Mowbray for lunch with ten friends. Got a little damp but miraculously missed the worst of the rain.
Even with damp roads was an excellent day enjoyed by all of us.

Rode through all seasons on the way home. Glorious sun one minute, throwing it down the next. Finishing up with a temperature drop and snow. I took my thermal linings out last week.

Yesterday, fitted my new folding, extendable levers. Kept getting rained and snowed on so decided against going for a test run. Got out for a quick blast today - all good. I like that I can adjust the length easily, currently long clutch and trying out short brake.

Had to leave the hand guards off as I think I'll need to play around a bit to get it all to fit on the clutch side.

Noticed the the rubber cable boot on the clutch cable is quite perished. Anyone know where I can get another one? Had a quick search but can't find anything. Also, looking at the images now I'm wondering if there should also be covers over the throttle cable adjusters  ?

@ boac,
Firstly there aren't any covers over the throttle cable adjusters.
Secondly the rubber boot over the clutch cable on yours is a part that comes with the hand guard kit. They probably don't sell it separately. When you buy the hand guards, you remove the original boot & replace it with the shorter one in the kit.
I have an original one going spare if its of any use to you. All I'd ask is postage cost! It looks like this:

Yep, you are correct. I just looked at pics of my Glee & they were on there.
Maybe I was thinking of my Wee. Were they not fitted to Wee??

Typical. The eagle eyed may have noticed that the spacers between my bar end weight and grip are different… this is because when the bike was blown over in a storm and broke the bar end bolt the spacer went missing. That spacer is also part of the hand guard kit and I couldn't find a replacement without buying the whole kit :angry-banghead: Fortunately the blokes at KC's were able to make a replacement on the lathe out of a spare bar end weight. Does the job and barely noticeable unless you're looking for it  :smirk:
Anyway, I did eventually manage to find this boot which looks like it would do the job: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Suzuki-GT750-K-1973-Handle-Switch-Clutch-Cable-Boot-58273-31000-000-/221397885182?hash=item338c57a0fe:g:hf8AAOxyyq5TMui~#shpCntId
£8.50 with postage though  Now re-considering just how perished mine is… yeah, think it'll be fine for a bit! Besides, I think I might leave the guards off for the summer and take you up on your offer Sam. PM incoming.

As for the throttle side, I had a look at the service manual which does mention removing covers in order to adjust throttle cables. It's hard to tell from the blurry b&w pictures but they look like a different design to the ones on my bike

Stripped bike rear end today, everything off, this because rear brake is almost not working, I needed to do something to stop me riding.
So, repaint every thing, grease everything, fit new pads and brake line and master cylinder, put it all back together, then start on the front.

Oh, and by the way, you cannot remove the rear suspension lower linkage with centre stand still on the bike, its not possible to move the plates out of the way. So looks like I will have to devise some sort of support to allow me to remove stand. Trolley jack, 3 bottle jacks and three axle stands are being looked at, might be some bits of wood as well.
Oh the joys of spring !!!!!!!

Went for a 195 mile round trip to Hood Jeans. Took a 3 hour scenic route there and then a 1 hour 30 blast back. Was a bit windy and only got caught in a shower on the way back.

Had a great time chatting with Chris and Julie and ended up with a custom length pair of jeans :-) Now to wait for a nice day to try them out!

Since I couldn't make the Skeg Vegas trip thought I would make the most of a break in this winters weather and have a bimble round the Yorkshire Wolds.
Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate

Stripped & cleaned my calipers & gave them a lube up, thought I'd wind out each front mudguard bolt, lube up before reinstalling.
Who's idea was it to fit those square things that aren't captive....?

Those mudguard "captive" nuts are truly the work of Satan. If you don't have to touch 'em, just don't!

I got rid of those nuts at Christmas when changing my fork oil. What a PITA.

Had a nice ride around B-roads in the Middleton-in-Teesdale area. Also swapped my ignition key to the spare following the lock progressively sticking over the last few months (spent a good 5 mins today trying to get the steering lock off), and finally replaced my snail horns which had gone rather quiet over winter.

Noticed my brother's Versys claims to be getting more MPG than me. Must check my brakes aren't binding (though suspect it's more right-wrist related...  :auto-dirtbike: :auto-dirtbike:)

Did no one tell you you could go blind?
