Yep, mines been in a week too

Apparently they have to take it to bits and then order the parts if necessary. Bloody weather's been fine from day one typically......

Not good Bigpie, I hit one as it flew across my path, I was doing 20 over 70 m'lud,
It took out my throttle cables and hit my fist, traveling up my arm to deposit it's guts all over my shoulder and neck, it countersteered me from the fast lane into the slow lane in spectacular fashion...on a harley no less...

Mine is with SMC in Sheffield. It was booked in to be looked at Monday. He said they hope to looked at it next week. It's not worth hassle of getting a lift there and taking it over to Doncaster and getting a lift back.

Hi bigpie. Is this for the valve/cam recall?
When I took my bike for the first service the engineer assumed it would be included and said he was having the first parts kit for the recall arriving the next day.
Turned out the L5 models aren't included as already done at time of manufacture but your dealer saying he has to order parts after checking sounds strange when my dealer said Suzuki are supplying a parts kit to do the recall.
Could it be they are busy at start of season with full price servicing whilst Suzuki probably pay a reduced rate for recall work so they may try and fit it around the money jobs?

No idea, there's no parts needed for mine, unless they are out of spec. They said a tech was taken to hospital so are running late. Luckily my mate has lent me a bike for getting to work.

Liking my new Vstrom 1000, fitted the Givi Trekker Outback luggage and it looks good. Next job is to make a sump guard

Took it for a mini 40mile round trip. But no pillion and no panniers. Found power that I didn't relise was even there.

was flying for the baby 650. Loved it even if it was a tad cold

What's a fast lane and what's a slow lane?

In all my driving and riding years I've never understood where to find the fast lane and where to find the slow lane. As far as I know ALL lanes have the same maximum speed limit and there is NO minimum speed limit on any of UK roads. I could not even find it in the Highway Code.

Now, I have found the inside, middle and outside lanes but never anything named the 'fast' or 'slow' lanes.

Cleaned and re-tensioned the chain.bled front brake fluid using a one man bleeding kit ( back one to be done soon,when I can be arsed removing all the Givi luggage racks just to take the side panel off). Also fitted Sena intercom kit to both rider and pillion helmets. Bike now changes gear with surgical precision and stops effortlessly. Sena kit works well at all speeds too

I'm torn between the SMH10 and the 20S at the moment. The 20S seems to offer more, but early users had all sorts of issues with it (and then of course there's the price issue

).

I'd be interested to hear what sort of range and battery life you get in real world conditions, too.

Finally got around to putting my V-strom.co.uk Vinyl on my bike! Arrived a few days ago (Thanks Fat rat!) but I wasn't sure where I wanted it.

I went for this set. http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/92822 Seems to work very nicely. Had the Cheapo BT800 type before. Volume levels on the Sena are much better. can converse at all legal speeds now

. not sure of the battery life just let. will keep you posted.It came with different microphone types too (both boom and wired). I'm using the wired. looks a bit tidier.
