Gentle ride out with Mrs Rocket this afternoon, the first free day without rain or high winds since 31st Dec. Bike was then spoiled with a thorough clean in the garage and listening to England lose the ODI.  :shock:
So how's it going so far then?

Cleaned and greased chain, went for short ride in London to test chest camera harness.  It's not bad but still shaky. My new camera will have to have video stabilization and external microphone.

Nice to see you sticking to the speed limit through the Blackwall Tunnel ....
Might see you sometime as I patrol either side of the tunnel  :thumb:

Streets were deserted comparing to week days. I have to say I do enjoy riding in town, quite often going for a spin just for fun of filtering :)

First decent ride out since collecting the Vee. 60+ miles of twisties around the Howardian Hills and Sutton Bank then the back roads back to York. Virgin wash by my fair hands at the local Morrisons and a good coating of WD40 before going back under the covers. That was Friday, it fecking snowed Sunday and was minus temps over night. Several mm of ice on the van this morning so no bike riding until the snow, Ice and Salt has buggered off.
Crazy, but that's how it goes

Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate

Have used Wee up until today, forecast is heavy frost/ice tonight, so used Disco instead.
When I left last night at about 23.00 hours it was starting to snow, bugger, I thought was going to be a bad ride home, 1/2 mile up road, no snow and dry odd weather.

Went out to the garage this morning ready to ride to work and discovered a puncture, courtesy of a piece of metal through the tread  :GRR: Luckily the local garage opens early and was able to repair it so I wasn't too late for work. (I did enjoy the ride on the quieter roads though - half term and outside of rush hour!)

I fanally managed to sneak some garage time & fitted the frame & tank protection stickers that I bought over Xmas.

The stickers came well packaged with detailed instructions, panel wipes & a wetting soap solution.

Bad to make out, here's the frame protectors fitted;

And the tank protectors which I think add a little definition & break up the white a bit;

Hi All,  I FITTED a new centre stand (bought from Cosmo at roughly half of the price of the Suzuki Genuine).  Took about 45 mins and a I am a novice when it comes to spanners - I must say A MASSIVE THANK YOU  :ty: to everyone who came back with advice .... Dave - who sent me the photos of his stand fitted and this made things SUPER EASY!!!

I am going to get brave and take on some more additions.

The Advice and helpfulness made all the difference and gave a novice when it comes to getting the tools out the confidence needed. :fix: :lala:

Cheers all and if you're ever passing near Stamford ..... the kettle is on and biscuit tin FULL!!!

Cheers Paul

Made a slight adjustment to preload and damping, then went for a 200+ mile, 5 1/2 hr ride around Devon and Cornwall to test it out!

Just what I needed to clear my head, even though it was raining half the time and foggy on the moors. I've been thinking of changing the Glee for something with a bit more oomph, but after today it's hard to see how anything could be as much fun and as brilliant in crappy weather as the Glee!

OK I know it's not Strom related but.

Took the Varabeast out for a spin...
First time this year I've been out for a pleasure ride in the dry.
Plenty of commuting and having to get somewhere but not because I wanted a ride. It's been driving me up the wall not having time or weather for a decent ride.
According to the Mrs I've been a miserable sod to live with since Christmas.

80 miles of country and mountain roads, dry but with mud and gravel everywhere. Enjoyed myself thoroughly.
The bike felt better after a good blast after all the tootling to work.
Needs an oil change and new chain and sprockets whenever I can be arsed.
