They are just the standard little black fairing fasteners - the kind where you push the middle in to release them and then pull the middle out to put them back in.

Ordered a chain and sprocket kit for my wee. Also ran the engine on it until the fan kicked on and off a few times just to get the oil round. Now taken the battery off it and put it on the optimate. Started to take off the front bodywork until my fingers were too cold to do any more, then retreated to the shed to finish the auxiliary light brackets for mine and Peter's bikes. Got loads of jobs planned for the coming winter, like refitting all the kit I removed when I thought I was trading it in, fitting the new pr4s, oil and filter change, tappets, coolant change, fork service plus a few other bits of jobs I have in mind. I'm looking forward to 2016 with an air of optimism now!

Saved £500. Woo-hoo! Removed the jamming ignition key lock and stripped it out following illustrated advice I found on this forum. Modified the brass lock wafers by grinding them down a little on a bench grinder then reassembled it all. It now works perfectly - the first time since I've owned the bike. About 2 hours of work and zero cost. The dealer wanted £500 to fit a  new lock set!

Bought a givi hugger for the back wheel spay, and some pilot p4's, going on tomorrow, the stock tyres just don't seem to be too good in the wet and grimey road conditions..

Started mine to go to work yesterday and it only ran on one cylinder  :GRR: won't have time to do any fault finding 'til the weekend.

Got my PR4's fitted. Wow what a difference. Took it steady for a while but soon found myself enjoying the ride. Road conditions were damp then drying later, that just made things better.  Can't wait for Sunny days to start working on the chicken strips. :thumb:

Yes, the pr4's are a bit if a revelation from the stock tyres, the handling is more nimble, bike seems to want to tip into the corners quicker and my stock tyres were not squared,so the comparison is fair.

I feel there is more grip in the damp around,  basically I think a good choice for road work.

Took mine down to Stourbridge, to get it fitted with Stahlkoffer frame and panniers.

Missing riding it already

Went to have a look at a Viper bluetooth helmet. Quite impressed with the speakers but the fit isn't quite right. Anybody got any recommendations for other bluetooth helmets?
Decided to go for a spin around Co. Durham when I got out of the shop but once I'd got up to Tow Law it was lashing down and blowing a hoolie.  :rain: It's so mild I only had my summer gear on and the vent zips started leaking so I cut the ride short and headed home.
Great to get out at this time of year though.

Added a sweet little Decal to the back of the lid. Nothing much else happening with this proverbial weather :rain:
Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate

Managed to sqeeze in 85 miles of single track road and a few green lanes, after work. Was a bit cold particularly after a deeper than expected ford which sent a wave over my head and soaked me through!!

Made a start on changing the tyres and fork oil. Those square nuts on the front mudguard are a right b1tch to remove. They'll be getting the thread drilled out tomorrow and a normal nut will be used.

Left the forks draining tonight... tomorrow will be fresh oil in the forks then breaking the bead on the front tyre.

(Tidying the garage will be on the list too)
