nowt. I took the W650 for a run as I's been stuck in for the last couple of months. Bit wet though, and a bit foggy

not as practical as the Wee but I do use it for work occasionally with a ruck-sack instead of a box. Managed a lap at lunchtime on the way back from seeing someone.

Well, canny day today weather-wise, so I rushed a few tasks and ignored some others t get the bike out. Fiddled with the vario and madstad before I remembered that I had it set just perfect...Damn, start all over again, finding best position! Checked tension and lubed chain, checking wheel alighnment wasn't off since getting the new tyres on: all OK! Visually checked where the new flush indicators will go at front...then decided I was pissing about too much, and losing time. Got out on bike (forgot earplugs - what a racket the bike makes, think I'll complain to the council) up to Whitley Bay and up the coast a bit, then loop back inland to the middle which is Hexham, cup of tea, walk aroond like a tourist, then nice run back home, about 70 miles only, but like a summers day!  :)))

Mind - I do like those w650's. make me all nostalgic!

Measured the bit of the brake pipe I had wrong before, from the top banjo to below the first clamp. Now the measurements still don't add up properly. According to them the left side brake pipe is shorter than the right side one  I obviously screwed it up so I will have measure every all over again

Thanks :thumb: I had the lines off this weekend so I thought it's easiest just to measure them and be sure than to search for it. Obviously I shouldn't have bothered to do it myself, just screwed it up :shy: I still have no idea how I got it wrong though

Fitted my Barkbusters just , they are a great fit even with the 30mm bar risers . Not cheap but can see why they cost more than some others .

Spent a few hours today (Wed) in my garage with my (2008) DL1000 cleaning engine department/wheels etc with my favourite weapon being 'WD40' and a cloth, cleaned chain with cloth with WD40, then re-oiled with 'chainsaw oil', it's sitting like a new pin.

Utterly love it!

I cut some CAT5 cable to the brake hose lengths Venhill uses for a 2 hose system (915mm and 940mm.) Offered them up to the bike to check the lengths and they fit well. Think I will ad 25mm to the lengths and get them ordered. I might as well order the rear hose as well. Just one more thing to decide: which colour?! lol

bolton-skipton-Leyburn-Bellerby. Manor Cafe for a brew. Checking the route as a few of us are going to Altberg on SAturday and I'm supposed to be leading it from Skipton! Then back to Clitheroe, Whally, Rocket Centre and home. 160 sunny miles

today I took the tank off and held back the fairings
fitted my duel 12v powerlet wiring from handlebar to 3cs by the battery
put the tank back on and checked all OK
wired the wire into my 3cs (harder than I thought, without the right crimper)
cut 28mm and 18mm holes into the aux plate greatfully made my weestromer(thank you mate)
fitted both powerlet and 12v outlet to the plate, then secured it to the bike
all works fine and dandy, il add a pic later

*edited to add pics

luckly I didn't have to make it, Weestromer posted one to me. I took the measurments. I changed it slightly so the cables had more room. this is the final design, I filed the one I got to look like this. feel free to copy the measurments one and all. all u really need is a handsaw, a little bit of mild steel sheet, a stepped drill bit (for making holes) and a file. a dremmel really helped too I must add lol

the hole for the powerlet is 18mm, the hole for the powerlet cigarette plug is 28mm

Thanks willbo (and weestromer) for reminding me, I'm going to make one of these (no idea what to put on it yet!), need to find some sheet metal though...
