I blame Light Emitting Diodes.
What was up with round 7" Lucas sealed beams?
Well besides the fact you couldn't see where you were going in the dark and you needed a spare in the boot/top box. Just in case.
No good will come of all this new fangled electrotrickery, mark my words.
Pffffffftttttt.
Got to dash, I've got of a meeting of "Northern Luddites" to attend.
Now where are the keys to the Morris Minor?

Hi Nigel/all

Apologies for the delay commenting but, you know, stuff.
Yes, good to meet a fellow strommer and forum member out and about.
Lots of interesting mods on your bike.

Pic to prove it happened if I've attached it correctly.

A "Brit Breakfast" each was had upstairs in the Krazy Horse cafe after you departed. One of everything and £6.00.
Btw, not that it matters, but the wife has an XSR700 not an MT07.
I'm sure we'll bump into each other again.

Cold , but dry roads so out exploring.

Hi pstm,
I'm not doing well with the letters am I,
Apologies  to your wife for saying she had a MT, when the XSR she was on is a much cooler bike.
That shot of me looks like something  off crime files, have you seen this man :lala:

We will probably  meet again at a Bike night at Krazy Horse :thumb:
Look forward to it.

Hi Upt, glad you like the footpegs. They seem like a good compromise between the pivotpegz and a bit cheaper option. Think I might be tempted once the bike comes out of hibernation 🙂

The good news about LEDs is we should get decent light output of even motorcycle headlights, and it gives the designers some more leeway into their designs.

The bad news... the designers just seem to be slapping them into the area of the original headlight without doing anything else with it!

(Also, people who fit aftermarket LED bulbs without checking they're not dazzling others... hmmmmph lots of swearing on the way home last night!)

Badly designed leds, transits overloaded and lights pointing high, or in two different directions, the same car STILL driving to work with one headlight out since the clocks changed, 30 + mph tractors that have NO hope of stopping ,driven by children.
Combine all that with muppets not defrosting their windscreens, now the frosts are here, viewing the road through a letter box sized clear bit they have scratched out with a thumbnail....it's a wonder anyone gets to/from work without total carnage on the roads   :GRR:

AHHH...that feels better... good to vent..
