Today we met Paul & Josh at the Bikerscampsite headed over the The Owl's Nest.
Not many bikes there for saying it was a decent day weather wise. A coffee (& cake for some) a chat & off to The Elan Valley. A quick pit stop at the visitor centre then off to Aberystwyth, via Devil's Bridge for fish & chips.
After that a slow ride (fuckwits doing 30/40mph in 50/60 limits for no good reason  :GRR:)  to Aberaeron for ice cream.
Great day out.
Photos to prove it happened.  :)

Over to Doncaster so the missus could buy a back protector, then up to dirty Leeds so I could try on a new crash helmet, and finally a nice scenic route up to Oliver's Mount to watch some mates race the British Supermoto this weekend.
Nice stop off at Kirkham Priory on the way. Whitby tomorrow and then the racing.

Bit of rain first thing but then a wonderful ride up to Whitby via some superb moorland roads, well well off the beaten tourist trail. Goth spotting at the Abbey and then local kippers for lunch on the harbour wall. Razz back past raf fylingdales and returned just in time for a brew with the last couple of races.

Excellent photos and route, sounds like a great ride. I’m stuck tiling my new house so I don’t want to see this but glad the weather cleared up for your ride. Enjoy  :thumb:

You've already been recorded as MIA Dave.
And we are missing you, along with a few other regulars who have attended over the years.  :thumb:

Met up with my brother for another day out. Covered about 160miles on back roads. Kind of got lost from Thirsk to Fridaythorpe but was a good lost. Tasty lunch at Seaways before a run across to Helmsley.
May have to buy a new satnav though as stopping to check Google Maps on the phone was a pain.

Today the weather started wet & continued to try & keep us wet for most of the day.
Nathan did the honours of leading again & took us to The Owls Nest via a cracking route.
Then up through some more great roads before looping back to the Bikerscampsite.
Not so many photos today as the trip wasn't quite as far as previous days so not as many stops required. 🙂
I avoided the Owls Nest famous custard slices yesterday but temptation was too much today. 😋
Photos to prove it happened.

I have finally taken some pics of Bullseye's new face.  If you look very carefully above the r/h running light you can see the Innov dashcam.

Riding home yesterday with fuel light on and road works creating longer detours, I called into a Shell garage for E5. At £1.75 a litre I put enough in to get me home. On the way called into Sainsbury’s and filled up for £1.50 a litre. And they don’t even make the stuff!

Run back from Scarborough today, dropped into Seaways for a bacon roll and then the fabulous Mr.Moo's for ice cream. Cup of tea by the Humber Bridge and then a rumble home. Played fuel light lottery to get to the holy land of 134.7 but found I had 3L left, the Vee does panic a bit but, at 43mpg, maybe that's wise.

Most went home today but a few of us are hanging on until tomorrow in the hope the roads might be a  it quieter?
So today it was another ride out. 1st stop The Owls Nest for coffee & cake.
The car/bike park was close to full & the queue was out of the door & halfway up the car park!  :GRR: Anyway since we were there we waited. Always worth while for a piece of their custard slice.
From there it was a ride up to The Devils Staircase where we tried our best to lose Paul but we failed.
Another great ride out in perfect weather.
A few photos to prove it happened .......

Had a run up to Yondermans Cafe for lunch, very nice and not as expensive as I had thought it might be,the traffic was chocka up to Cromford, and then log jammed getting into Bakewell,I managed to wriggle through it and upset a couple of Range Rover drivers, found it was the town carpark that was full and drivers still queuing to try and get in.I passed it all eventually as not much was moving the other way.Came back overland to Monyash with the idea of a cuppa on the way home, didn’t bother stopping, the whole village was jammed with Hardly Dangerous bikes, there must have been a club run on or similar.

In contrast to @Ianmc five of us departed late (5pm) and headed to Monyash as the Old Smithy is open 'til 9pm on Monday's during August (and possibly in to September).
Traffic was fine at that time.
Talking to four blokes from Cambridgeshire up for the day trail riding, bikes in the van they were heading home at 7pm.
Not that busy at the Old Smithy so served quickly (the pastrami & cheddar toastie with salad & proper chips was really good), not many bikes there except for us and a couple of others and then a few Harley's turned up to the pub next door.......playing the Vengaboys' We Like to Party on his stereo, I kid you not.
