Nothing like a two stroke ...  :thumb:

A customer has been restoring a TZR 250 3XV and every now and then I've helped him with the odd problem so today he came by and let me have a scream up the road .... brilliant..!!

Oh .. he's selling it for nearly 9k ..!!

Nothing quite like them, nor ever will be again. My mate has 2 RGV 500 Gammas which he's had for over 30 years. I rode one once. Fantastic, dangerous thing.

180 miles over to Cleethorpes for lunch and back.
Grey, chilly and pretty miserable all day until beautiful sunshine for the last hour home, maybe we should have headed West. Still, the fish was excellent.

It's weird but I find my 'strom 650 with it's lowered 14t gearing reminds me of my RD400E.Not in the way it makes it's power or the smell or size.
It's not about the numbers flashing past on the speedo but the way it makes me feel .I   LIKE  it
Strange?

Oops getting old maybe?

Just got back from a run to Kings Lynn.
Seems 3/4 of the UK had decided to drive down the other side of the road from me and half of them were trying to "kill the biker kill the biker".None on my side bar a horse box, then a slow van ,then an old boy towing a trailer, etc etc etc
fur facks sake!!!!

Replaced all the callipers screws, pins, banjo bolts, adapter screws to titanium ones. Pricey, but no more rust on those ever!!

measure the below head length of the titanium bolts and keep a record, they stretch like a bitch every time you take them off and bolt them back on .Great for weight saving but  not longevity under repeated use.

I don't intend to take them off too often. I did not buy them for weight saving either. Just for the rust proof.

Another oil and filter change, and chain adjusted again. Have been slowly adding the mileage to the bike - now at 58,243 (about 3 years late mind)

Pichulec, I had replaced the caliper mount bolts with titanium on my gen 1 fazer 1000 at 5,000 miles,I clean the calipers twice a year and when changing pads always using a torque wrench. At 50,000 miles I happened to have one of the original bolts to hand when cleaning the calipers and was amazed to see a good 5mm difference in length. But the shocking thing was how much thinner the shank of the bolt was! They were identical when fitted!  I put the originals back in for peace of mind.I guess that's why on some hondas they replace the bolts every time they come off ,bit much in my mind

Managed to get a few more jobs crossed off the list this weekend, renthal bars fitted, braided brake hoses fitted, rebuilt calipers bolted on with new pads and all bled up, clutch switch replaced, coolant dropped and refilled with fresh plus a few other little bits and pieces.

The old brake fluid didn’t look to pleasant

.....now you're just taking the piss. :smirk:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Motorway pop, as an ex-tanker driver once said.
