Been fitting a few things to the 1050 which has not got as much room under the seat as the 1000 or 650 and I can not fit my Stop and go compressor on the bike.

I have also found that the Givi rear carrier rails from the 1000/650 don't fit, give up for today off to the pub tonight!

I think I would not be able to fit it under the seat Nigel, I like to keep the kit under the seat as when I am on my own I tend to not fit any box or bag.
I did not have any punctures for years then back in 2016 I had one on my Tracer 900 and two on the NC750x so I do like to be covered.
I will see if the mini pumps are any smaller than the Stop and Go one or I might have to just keep the air canisters  under the seat.

Lovely weather (for once) on the Struggle today, and amazingly quiet for a bank holiday. Well, until I got to Ambleside where is was gridlock both ways all the way to Keswick as they decided to hold a huge cycling event… of all the weekends, lol. Anyway, great to be on my bike and it surpassed itself as always

I did spot a sign saying the Kirkstone Pass will be closed for 5 weeks from the 5th June… knowing the delays around here I would expect that road closed until August for anyone looking to come this summer.

Had my first run of the year yesterday, late start for me this year. Bike had not been started from November last but it fired right up. I did fill with super unleaded and charged the battery once a month. Brakes seem a bit lacking, a good strip and clean needed.
Lot of visiting bikes around the Antrim coast as its North West 200 this coming week, and as is typical after a great weeks weather last week this coming week looks wet!

Trip out ,had to do some unwanted off road. Some kind of street party had closed the road . Being a three leg I ignored the diversion and took  off down this little road thinking this'll be alright it's got to come out somewhere.
turns out this IS a road, technically. Though good luck hitting 60 down it.

I stripped and cleaned the brakes as nothing else better to do when it’s pouring outside… typical bank holiday, lol.

Put a few miles on her of late including some gravel tracks and getting caught in the rain on every bloody ride. Washed today on return from another weekend away and found a loose crimp in my home brew top box brake light bullet connectors.
I've been promising myself I'd fit a proper Tyco connector for ages and I'll need to remove the top box for ABR festival next month so it was out with the soldering gear.

Last 2 days:

Hacksawed off the stripped bolt holding on the bash plate preventing me from getting to the drain plug to do an oil change.
(Previous owner used off road a lot)
Repaired bash plate - flattened out the dents using a vice and a rubber mallet. Repaired mounting slots with JB weld.
Sanded the whole lot down and repainted with black hammerite (2 coats)
Ordered new stainless steel bolts. (Amazon same day delivery:)
Changed oil, oil filter (first time ever doing it)
Checked everything over for oil leaks.
Replaced shinny refurbished bash plate.
Went inside to change into riding kit.......
It started raining

Fitted factory spec heated grips in pre for my NC500 ride next week. Who ever thought of hiding the power connector, requiring a complete strip down and rebuild of fairing wants shooting.

This week purchased some Suzuki rear pads from Beemer here in this parish, and fitted them this morning.
Following the book, and my memory from a number of YT videos, all went without a hitch.
Road tested and got some fuel, finding an almost twin so Had to rest a while and admire them!
Quiet applause will do.

Went to Ipswich this morning ,bit dull and grimy, but stopped in a layby to eat my just purchased bacon butty and silence descended ,way up high there was a skylark. Couldn't see it but made my day to hear it singing it's little heart out.
Also parked up in Ipswich next to this bloke, another RXS100 this one an energy induction, get in !! , for those who read my other post, spannies and all, Nice fella, turns out he bought it after the sad death of his mum and named it after her middle name. Here's to you Grace.
