I don't mind paying but 1/3 of the value is excessive in my opinion.
Presumably the total of the items you bought from Cosmo came to more than £135?
Next time, if there is a next time, or for anyone else thinking about buying from outside the UK, perhaps split your order, if each item is less or totals less than £135 (inc postage/packaging/insurance) you won't pay duty.

Took it out for a little trundle, half hour in heard a bang from the back, then a rattle, then another rattle, then fine, thought it might have been a load of gravel rattling under the hugger, rode on seemed fine until couple miles further on handling became 'odd' carried on to a lay by, flat rear tyre. A great big chunk out of the hugger, bolt or what ever went in, hit the hugger, came out and rattled round inside for a bit.
Luckily had my repair kit and pump so back on the road in 10 minutes. Usually after a repair I wear the tyre out but there's only 2mm left anyway and the hole was quite big so will be changing the tyres  sooner rather than later.

All this talk of changing oil made me change mine (and the filter). I’m only at 2.5k since the last change, but since it’s only two weeks to the bike meet I thought I best do it now. I looked on google and Andy’s campsite is almost 300 miles away, going to be a fun but long weekend 😊

@ nigel s, I presume it was these instructions you followed?
https://www.v-strom.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=33022.0
If so & you still couldn't post here's two possible reasons......
1. you didn't post anything in the text box.....a full stop will do.
2. the file you are trying to post is too large.....I use this programme to resize.

Downsize your portions as Whale Mick doesn't have the same ring to it.

Short ride out into Oxfordshire. I've almost matched last years mileage already, but then I could push it that far if I wanted to!

Lovely ride up to Alston, loads of bikes and some very nice Aston Martins having a race… Lucky for them I was heading down while they were heading up  :auto-dirtbike:

On a serious note though, I love to hear those sort of cars actually being used not just sat posing. The ride also reminded me that I need to get out and practice more, my memory and my ability were not closely matched today

A very nice 170 miles around Norfolk and North Suffolk with two friends. Perfect weather, great roads and good company. A nice remedy to my pitiful winter mileage, that is going to see my 1050 getting its 7500 service on time rather than miles as only at 4700 with only two months to go. My lowest annual mileage in my biking life. 😪

Had a run up to the Anson Engine Museum at Poynton just south of Manchester, about 130 mls. round trip.Weather forecast was sunny all day,but going over the top from Buxton there was a heavy, wet, and very cold mist,it was down to 5deg.C. at times. It was the first open day and also what they describe as a run day,as all the engines that can be run, were running in turn during the visit.
The only downer was that the ABS light wouldn’t go off when I left to ride home, had a quick look when I got back,no faults showing,so we shall see,I will have a good look at it tomorrow.

My first ride of the year to friends for Easter Lamb lunch. I wouldn't normally be so late in the year but an eye operation in January had me tinkering in the garage instead of riding until now. Pleased to say the Strom was a delight as always.
So how's it going so far then?

Busy day fettling today: Fitted extra well-nuts to the front fairing to have a play around with the airflow settings, cleaned all brakes pistons and discs/pads, and washed it twice!! Nice to see the winter crap finally removed.
Took a cheeky ride up the road before packing it away to help dry it off and bed the brakes in again, only 15mins but nice to have the bike running out.
I'd also cleaned the textiles earlier in the week as they were looking disgusting after winter, so all set for the warmer weather.

But did you lose the back ends of any perished well nuts into the mysterious void?
