You have been busy pichulec, all I’ve done today is go bowling with the family and drink too much coffee. I was up late last night though replacing the spot light brackets. I did have ‘P’ clips which worked perfectly well, but I got some aluminium ones off eBay because they looked better and less DIY.

They look the same, or at least very close. I couldn’t use the internal rubber grips they supply as my Heed crash bars are 25mm OD, so too chunky. If your crash bars are 20mm OD then probably a perfect fit. I just used some 3mm rubber sheet that I cut into a strip, worked a treat.

The lights are very good and also very cheap. I bought a pair three years ago and have just replaced them because the paint was fading from the sun. They still work perfectly, but for £12 I just got another pair to keep the bike looking good.

Thanks for that  :thumb: I have them lights fitted too. The brackets I have at the moment, flex a little bit, and your one's look very tidy indeed. My bars are 22mm, they're Suzuki bars. Thanks again.  :thumb: :thumb:

Had a service and MOT at Haslemere Motorcycles. No issues but have advised that fork pitting may need some work in the future.

Drained oil and tomorrow....
I had complete clutch set laying around for almost 3 years. Tried to sell it, no luck. As I am changing oil and coolant tomorrow I may aswell change complete set of clutch plates + metal plates + springs and new gaskets :)  Time for it to disappear :D

Fitted my bar risers and was just about to fit LED indicator bulbs then go for a ride when the rain came, again. So, bulb fitting tomorrow then a nice ride ending at a friends house for a cup of tea and home made lemon drizzle cake. I could go for the tea and cake first but then she would want to come with me. I would have to ride slow and I bought her a red jacket when I had a red bike and now she would look awful on my white bike with me in black.  :smirk:
Without rain, there would be no rainbows.

Washed it (and the FJR). Tried some of that snow foam stuff that people go on about....it was OK but bloody expensive, think it was about 14 quid for a litre wh8ch I'll get 3 washes from.
to be honest don't think its any better than the cheapo wash n wax from the local supermarket which is about 4 quid for a litre and will do loads of washes.

I use this & have done for a few years now. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121694790454
Works out at £11.25 for 5L.
However, Snow Foam isn't a wash, it's a pre-wash, you still have to get the bucket & sponge out. I use it on the bike & car to get rid of the loose dust & grime to stop the sponge causing scratches & swirls when giving it a proper wash.
I bought the last 4x5L pack in December '21 & I've just opened the last one. I wash the car every week & the bike after most outings.

I've refitted my 'tool tube' ready for the coming touring season. As some will already know GIVI racks on the Gen II Glee left the same space both sides of the bike to mount panniers but there is a big space on the lhs where there's no exhaust. To increase my 2-up camping capability I constructed a carrying tube 620 x 100 dia. mm (2 feet x 4 inch dia. ) to fit in the space. It's self supported with jubilee collars which I reinforce with cable ties. For camping it takes light plastic circular objects like cups, lamp, utensil tube etc. It is long enough to take two bottles of fine French wine (not expensive here......).

Here it is:

So how's it going so far then?

Joe, please accept this as notification if impending legal action for infringement of international copyright law.

Namely my (19th March 2014) worldwide patent for the "baguette tube"

I used 2 exhaust hanger straps as the tube flanges were the perfect diameter.

Fine French wine.
So one of these wouldn't fit, then?

No but you can decant 1.5ltrs of it into a SIGG bottle as they fit nicely in the tube.  :thumb:
 :obscene-drinkingchug:

I miss the baguette tube... stupid Varadero has twin high level exhausts.
Another strommer in Swansea still has his... uses it to carry his lunch to work.

mr_diver your baguette tube isn't long enough to fit a real baguette in it without breaking it in half. That's my opinion but you can always pursue me in the European Court of Justice.

RN, your'e obviously too dumpy to fit! (Nothing personal)
So how's it going so far then?
