Picked it up from the dealers, 2016 650, rode home across the Peaks and absolutely loving it .... apart from the mirrors ... rubbish, great images of my shoulders and chest !
Super fast and nimble after the beloved Himalayan.
Rubbish mirrors .................

Congratulations on the new bike!

interesting, the mirrors on my 2019 650 work fine, OK they aren't the nicest looking mirrors and I will be replacing them with something a bit more aerodynamic at some point, but they do the job.

6” 3” and wide shoulders.... extenders on the Himma but would really like round mirrors ... is the 2016 r/h and l/h threads ?

Braved the occasionally dramatic showers and popped up to Tan Hill for the night, quite the spot to camp and the roads never disappoint.

Bought these from Amazon...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0714KKK32/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

After changing some of the washers for spring versions and some nuts for nyloc type, they fitted pretty easily to the bike, wired into a BigPie aux fuse box, also changed the 30amp in-line fuse supplied for a 10amp version.
On/Off switch fitted using one of the bolts that hold the RH mirror to the bars.

Apart from the mistake with the sharpie, everything went well for my first efforts in maintenance.
The coolant level was lower than low, and I had some from my CB125R, so decided to gauge the fuel tank raising a go, to top up.
No lugs we’re broken and everything went back together, and I’ve got a mini wrench and hex sockets in my tool kit for the next time I need to do this.
Quiet applause will do.

They grow up so quickly.  :thumb:
It wasn't that long ago we were saying that about Josh!  lol

Our Charlotte loves M&P's, well who wouldn't, loads of bikes, offers and a decent café.

She ran the length of the Kawasaki showroom to get the the KTM one as she could see a tiny 2 stoke mini motorcross bike.
Slung her leg stright over and twisted the throttle.

She dragged us back there 2 more times... I think in a couple of years I will be spending a fair bit of time at motorcross tracks.

She also scoffed a decent fry up including half my black pudding

Fitted a set of these screen adjusters to try and reduce the wind noise from the stock screen, they haven't cured the problem but they have reduced the wind noise by around 40%

Good quality, made to measure ear plugs can make a real difference. I can't ride without them.

Not today, but a couple of weeks back.
Got mine back on the road after a 2 year break.  Topped up with fresh fuel, charged the battery, changed the oil and checked tyre pressures.  First press of the button and away it went, as though it had ran the day before.

Have since done a few decent runs and it's great to be back out on it.  The only reservation I've had is losing some confidence which has made me notice the stretch to the floor more.  Had a few of those moments stopping at a junction with poor camber and finding the bike wanting to tip and struggling to keep it up.

Roll forward to a few days back and I've fitted 25mm lowering links to the rear.  I'd already lowered the front.  This has made all the difference to be honest and am well pleased.  Plus it still stands well on the side stand and is still OK to pull onto the center stand.

All of that just in time for winter!

Not managed to get out for a few weeks but today I did a quick 30 mile round trip to drop some fresh, home grown, vegetables off to some poor pensioners.
The temperature here in The North was a tropical 15°, summer gloves, no heated grips & I left my fleece at home for Deb.
