« on: February 25, 2012, 16:15:18 »
I'm picking one of these up tomorrow http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_255214

At £59.99 (half RRP) I don't think you can go wrong, does anyone have one?

Had a look at those a few months back and it felt quite flimsy (well I suppose it would when empty) but it's hard to resist the price tag. I didn't get one as I have to move my tools around fairly often, but I like the idea.

yeah I got a top and a bottom for 200 quid a few months ago.. less than half price :-)
took them 3 attempts to deliver the top chest before I got one that wasn't battered to f***k
really enjoying the fact that I don't have to empty my tool box every time I want a spanner :D

I'd pick the one up on the left - it's less wonky than the other one.

I had the small top box about 18 years ago. Still got it, the chrome drawer edging has just fallen off. A cracking bit of kit for the shed at a reasonable price.

If your having a do again this year, and the wife lets me come again I have a halfords trade card if you need anything to go in it. The discount can vary but is at least 25% off marked price.

I bought one and have found it great value for money and holds enough gear for me to use on the bike and it saves you time when you can pull all your kit out when working outside and the draws are useful for not losing nuts washers etc. I would definitely buy one .

This thread prompted me to buy one.
Going to get some non-slip liners for the drawer thingies, then will align all my tools in size order like James May would.

Ended up buying one  :fix:

It's not bad, just a bit on the small side but feels more sturdy loaded up with my gear.

The garage is certainly a bit tidier and there's a lot more space for storing beer  :lala:

Hmmm, nearly bought one of the plastic ones in Lidl for £40 so glad I didn't (nothing wrong with them just rather spend the extra tenner on this) shopping for me tomorrow then.

Bought it, built it and it's fecked already. The welds holding up the center plate of the two drawers in the bottom section has broken away already with nothing in it. :GRR:

Just done a bit of googling , Waterloo didn't make them for Halfords like I thought . But I could highly recommend the Waterloo tool boxes , I've had mine about 15 yrs and its still like new with no wear or faults .

Mines the same as this http://www.waterlooimages.com/CategoryR ... &pack=8701

Great value for what you get .
