my first quote for my wee was over double that I managed to get one a bit cheaper after looking around. My insurance has been going up and up for the last few years despite no claims, garaged etc
I'm sane, honestly. . . I got a certificate to prove it!

Geez, for once I'm glad I live in the frozen wastes of rural Scotland...

Swintons charge me £50 fully comp (£80 with £30 cashback) for my '07 Vee GT. 46 yrs old, parked on drive, no locks/alarms, 9 yrs NCB, 10k p.a.  Social & Commuting use.

Its one of the reasons I like my Strom, its so cheap to keep.

Thinking about this, £530 a year, is that what you are payiing for the bike?
It would almost be cheaper to rent a gargare in the are I live in (£35 per month or 420 per year)  and using the gargae addres as yours.
Thinking about it you could always say the bike is normally sorted at my house and save a few quid.  If the bike got strolen you could then tell the insurance company you were visiting the people next door when it went missing :)  But maybe not as that would be fraud ;)

lol A1=Business Class A1 (used for nipping between offices.  Actually if I stop doing that it might help.  The expenses at that rate won't pay for the insurance....

Taking it out makes it £350 BUT as it says "social, domestic and commuting to a single place of work" I'm stuffed as I go to a different office every day....

Bugger, they've got you all ways... My A1 on the car is an extra £150 a year, not brilliant but acceptable.

Jehesus, I thought mine was costly at £296 tpft!

Renewing early december, looking at quotes of £260 fully comp including all the gubbins I have adhered, screwed, bolted and clamped to the bike - quite pleased really, not much less, but a more thorough policy!!

I'm with ebike they have just asked for £178,they was always cheap for my bandit but carole nash have got it down to 125 with full euro cover which I have been told is top notch.
I have found that shopping around does work to an extent and the £53 I saved does show that.
