Where's my horn!!

Hello
Just had my DL1000 07 serviced, and for some reason the horn has stopped working. Phoned the dealer and they said they might have disconnected it. They said its a easy job to fix. Can anyone tell me how to get to it. Thanks.

The horn is behind the radiator, just some spade connectors on the horn and the plugs are the female ones that slide over the spade connectors. Look in from the right side of the bike (for a Wee you have to look from the left.)

Nopes, you might be able to get in there without taking it off. At least check if you can see the horn, maybe you can get a hand in there easy enough to connect it.

Take it back to the bloody dealer.

If it is that easy, which it is, then it won't take them 10 minutes to fix.

Plus they sent you back out on the road without a working horn, which is dangerous and could have got you an £80 fine

Mine did the same to me when they serviced it last Nov. Long nosed pliers had the connectors back on in less than 2 minutes.

Its annoying that they didn't re-connect them when they moved the radiator to do the valve clearances, but hardly worth taking it back...

More annoying for me as I only found out when I went to get the MOT & it failed  :angry-tappingfoot:

You should use the horn more!

Useless fact: In India you can fail your driving test for NOT using the horn enough :grin:

In India the horn is not to show you've lost it with someone but to let them know you are there. I would have thought seeing them driving right at you in your lane would be sufficient!
