Erm I speak for a few of us when I say I'm a bit confused... I know there's a tall touring screen and a small sporty one for the X but that's it...

Have you a particular problem that we can discuss on this thread? Madstad seems to be the way to go plus possibly a Vario screen. Hold on tight cos one of the Administrators will shunt this thread to the 'Screens' section soon...
No bike at present.......

Bruce, it also depends what height you are to give you the best advice.
I had a 2010 wee X, I put a Madstad bracket with a tall vario screen, which nowadays comes to about £200.  I found it brilliant, make no mistake it will not stop all traces of wind hitting you, but it will more or less eliminate buffeting, and make riding at speed much more comfortable.  I had the tall vario screen because I am 6'3".  The standard vario screen is good if you are up to 6'0", anything over get the tall one.  There are other options such as the standard Suzuki screen with a madstad bracket, which might be worth trying first anyaway.  Get these items from Biker HPS, good service.

Isn't the small dark tinted screen called 'Aero'?

This is a dark tinted screen but not described as a sport screen.I have the smaller sport screen, great for summer but the winter is upon us! I need a screen about 3cm taller than standard.

The aero screen is the sports screen..

I had one on my wee when I got it. I never thought much of the look, a bit too 'sporty' for the bike I feel. There is little buffeting from the aero screen, but that is mainly as there is little protection from wind/rain etc.

If you find one cheap (sort of sub £20) its worth a try, otherwise get a propper touring screen (MRA, or recently Slipscreens on ebay has become popular it seems)

Let us know what you decide!

I recently put the Aero screen on since I now only do about 250 miles a week and 20% of it is town riding. I really like it. On the motorway I can feel the wind pushing, but there's no real buffeting for me with the Aero screen and the Madstad set properly. It's going to get cold soon so I will put the standard screen back on then.
