Well, when I took over as the new chair' of  East Midlands CMA it was pointed out that I was wider and better upholstered than the previous chair'. Someone then bought me a little leather "roadname" patch at a Rally, so it is sewn on my leather waistcoat.
It is also the title of a rather nice little track by Frank Zappa!

MIne was given to me by an uncle when I was about 8 years old(47 now), Raggydan was a tramp, I think, who turned up at Windymillers mill on either Trumpton or Chigley/Camberwick Green.
And that's what I've been known as ever since....or just Raggy.

You got me curious about the google-ability' of names, juvecu. Just did mine and came up with something about flatulence! Ie "I was bloated and basically on the verge of being constipated last night and so ... Take a vitamin B12 and zinc supplement..."

Heh heh! Not the exotic, slightly mysterious 'air' I thought my username would engender!

Mine is the name of a character in a series of fantasy books: the name just popped into my head as I was joining the site...

(also just discovered its the name of a bastardised musical instrument powered by gas!)

... When I started work in the building trade back in '82 the old Irish Foreman / Ganger Man used to call anyone who he thought had done something silly or dumb a "Gassoon" (no idea what it meant)

(No intention to offend you...it just always reminds me of him 'cos:
a) he was a good bloke really
b) He used to call me it alot!!

When joining the site I wanted to use something with a Guernsey connection so I chose Cabou, which is a well known local name for a type of rock fish found in these islands. Anyway figured it would be easier for all to pronounce if it was written the way it sounds - Kaboo.
