Hi all
have just recieved my chain and sprocket kit and found that the chain has a split link
my concern is will this be OK for my vee as I have read that everyone has endless chains these days

I think I remember reading in the manual that says you shouldn't use split link chains on the strom.. might be wrong ofc but don't have the manual to hand

I don't think you'll find any manufacturer using or recommending split links for drive chains. The supplier probably included a split link because they assume you don't have a riveting tool for a soft link, which in fact you really should be using. I would suggest you contact them and say you want the correct soft link and then borrow the tool to fit it correctly from someone.

There is a german chain manufacturer called ENUMA.
(He says) He is the only one who makes screw chain locks. No special tool is needed for installation - it's quite simple.
There is a huge number of V-Stromers, especially in Germany, which have installed this chain locks.
Unfortunately there is no English Homepage availiable... but perhaps there is an English dealer who deals with ENUMA??
