Cleaning products
« on: October 12, 2010, 18:21:00 »
Because of my current love affair with my Bike I have actually taken an interest in cleaning it and making it look nice and shiny

I have found that Tech7 Power Cleaner works better than Muc off or Fuchs off   AND the best find was Turtle Wax 'ICE' . Spray on, wipe off then buff to a shine. This was recommended to me and I'm recommending it to you  :thumb:

It works well on Metal & Plastics alike and because it contains PTFE it also acts like 'Back to Black'

on the bike and the rolls`s I use demon shine or any meguiars products, their spray silicone is the nuts and the leather care is fantastic, I don't think you can beat meguiars.

Good choice Andy, but I've not used Tech7, always been pleased with the other 2 but might give it a try next time, even though I don't usually leave mine to get too bad before a bath. ICE polish liquid, not spray, is the biz', use it all the time and it seems to last forever.

MCN had a BOGOF offer on S-Doc 100 Power Gel earlier in the year so I bought some of that. It's expensive but seems to work really well. Squirt it on, have a cup of tea and then just hose it off. And because it's expensive you're less likely to want to get the pressure washer out too often! :-)

But Mr Ballou will be ever so proud, not sure what he uses, some expensive concoction.

He even sat there polishing the bloody cans , BEFORE they went on    even the bits you can't see are very shiny now

You'll be wanting a vibrating tool next Andy

I use a anti acid rain wash followed by MER brings the bike to a lovely shine, even the brushed ally cans.
