Thinking about getting a skid plate?…..

I’m glad I’ve got one fitted.

Whilst out today, someone kindly deposited about half a dozen broken pieces of brick, right on a bend.

I managed to miss most, but ran over one with my front tyre, which bounced hitting and scrapping along the skid plate, before going under my back tyre. To say the back end twitched a bit would be an understatement.

Photos below of front tyre, skid plate (yes, that is a dent) and rear tyre.

I think everything is okay, but I’ll take a closer look when I clean my bike tomorrow.

I can see the dent better now I’ve cleaned my bike.

I dread to think how much damage would have been caused to the lower part of my engine and exhaust.
