Paint touch up
« on: October 25, 2024, 10:47:24 »
Have any of you used a company that has provided an exact colour match for a touch up kit?
As my bike is a kind of pearlescent white, I don't want to receive a generic white kit.
Just not sure of an exact match will be made just by entering reg no
Cheers

I bought a paint touch up pen off a company on eBay but I knew the exact colour code from Suzuki and it seems fine.
You'll never get a really invisible repair with pearlescent paint touch up (both my bike and car are pearl) but it's been fine for small dings and looks great as long as you're not dragging your nose on the bodywork.
A bit of light digging suggests you might be looking at YPA Pearl Mirage White.

Thanks! It's just a couple of very small scratches on the tank fairing. Probably not worth bothering about, but seeing as I know they are there, my eyes are drawn to them 🙈😂

A scour through the parts lists for your bike and year should turn up the paint code, there isn't going to be (for the v-strom at least) multiple white paint codes. They'll be listed on parts that are supplied painted.

I use RS paints, list most bikes and have a drop down list of colours for the relevant year.

I've used RS for a Honda Candy Gold, they were very good.
