Has anybody used https://twotyres.co.uk/ ?
I have been considering Metzler Next2's and they are looking at approx £292 delivered whereas sportsbikeshop are up at £329
Black Circles are £299
I'm surprised that sportsbikeshop are not competitive.
I think I need to change the tyres as they are 8 years old!

Yes EIGHT  The bike has only done 6.6k . Although they aren't cracked or anything. Bike is stored in the dark, which makes a big difference. However they need changing hence this post.

I looked at sportsbikeshop and after a hunt about the site I found: You can request a price match directly from the page of the product you're requesting it for. Simply look for the 'PRICE PROMISE' section on the right hand side of the page.
It turns out that tyres are pretty much excluded...........

I have previously bought tyres from them for my Fazer 1000 ( Bridgestones BT16 pros and they were NOT old stock ) and to the door they were cheapest and fast delivery, they also do a good puncture repair kit ( plugs gas etc ) that has served me well.
No problems with the service so far

These arrived today. Delivered by DHL whose tracker service worked just fine.
Will get them fitted next week ...... all being well. Never actually taken the wheels off this bike before.
Very happy with the service provided by https://twotyres.co.uk/

Two Tyres are local to me , 15 mins away and being in the tyre game myself I can tell you they're making bugger after VAT , postage etc.
It amazes me how they do it ..

That being said, it's good for riders bagging a cheap set of tyres however, getting them fitted is another matter.

If you're will to go through the hassle of getting your tyres to a fitter who in some cases will charge at least £30 per wheel, in the long run, the extra time and cost often can nearly equate to buying them from and having them fitted by a reputable tyre supplier...

When someone brings me their own tyres I always ask if they'd mind telling me how much they paid for them so I can compare.

In most cases the difference is very little.

The local dealer https://www.twowheels.co.uk/ want £26 a wheel and couldn't do a total price of tyres and fitting that was within £50 of what I will save once the whole job is done. I will supply loose wheels. They are very happy for me to supply tyres.
They are very local to me and will make a buck out of it all, which is fine. But as you say margins are tight.
I paid £291 for the tyres so am looking at approx £350 for the whole project.
However I have been motorcycling for 40 years on and off and the one thing that amazes me is how tyres (and brake pads) have improved ........ amazing how much grip is available in all weather from such a tiny contact patch. In that respect it is $$ well spent!

Sadly too tight for some: in other news https://www.saltiremotorcycles.com/ where I bought the bike from have recently gone bust. Very sad

Not so much now I have the 650 , but when running litre bikes I was changing tyres every 3 months .
The balance between getting them at my regular supplier ( SPS Services , Top Blokes ) and from Twotyres was always a changeable feast.
Sometimes SPS with fitting was cheaper , sometimes Twotyres, even with fitting at SPS on top.
Paul at SPS would suck his teeth and say "fair enough .. I can't get those tyres for that price, go for Twotyres , and we will fit them at mates rates"
But then again... the amount he has taken off me over the last few decades...... I am owed summit :icon_wink:
