DL650xx personalised number plates
« on: May 21, 2024, 12:20:55 »
Not really my cup of tea but maybe of interest to some - DVLA have quite a few DL650xx personalised registrations available for £399 (+costs probably, I didn't look that hard).

https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/search/current-number-plates.html?prefix1=D&prefix2=L&numbers=65&letter1=O&letter2=&letter3=&action=results&pricefrom=0&priceto=&currentmatches=&searched=true&openoption=yes&language=en&super=DL650&super_pricefrom=0&super_priceto=

Vaguely tempted with DL65OLD OR DL65OAF but got other things to spend four hundred quid on!

£400 + the fee (still £80?) plus making the plate, plus postage..
Or a new pair of tyres and a tank full of E5.

Decisions, decisions.

My Son has VE57ROM on his 2012 Glee.
I have DK57ROM retention.
And my kwack has KW54KEE.
The thoughts are the bike names in the 1st and 3rd might be worth something one day  lol

On one hand it's all about personalising your vehicle. On the other its shameless vanity in a needy world and everyone else thinking "what a knob".
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Needy world...
Some people need to smoke
Some people need to drink
Some people need to personalise vehicles
And correct, any person in one of the lines above could consider someone in one of the other lines a knob, that's life and matterless opinions... lol

'Murica is similar.
To me a reg. plate is simply a legal necessity. No personalisation needed or wanted. Personalise your bike for comfort or performance, money better spent.

That 400 quid is exactly what I spent to put my old bike back on the road for another season, new tyres, oil, tax and insurance. I know which I think is money better spent.
In my younger days we used to pick numbers that where harder to read and remember just in case!

In Ireland there is an 04DL650 which would be my ideal plate.

If I was in Ireland and it wasn't already on a Nissan Almera 1.5L.
