Tank Protectors, any good?
« on: November 02, 2023, 20:27:09 »
Has anyone got these fitted, I am not too bothered by the tank protection side more so the knee comfort on longer trips. They look to be padded out slightly but I can't find other pictures with them fitted.
If you've fitted them is it comfier on the knee? I'd love to know. I do get some right knee discomfort after a hour or two in the saddle and just hoping a more cushioned rest may help.
Ta in advance.

I have some on my 2012 and they're flat pieces of plastic sheet cut to shape. No padding at all. You might need to search for gel pads

I had something similar on my fazer, but for keeping the cold tank from my legs when the temp dropped.
I too have  a dodgy right knee and a cheap pair of fwd pegs mounted on the crash bars mostly cured that.
I pop  that leg up before the ache and it seems to help .

Baglux cover has been my go to for knee comfort against the tank. I have one on my RT despite not using a bag on it.

Thanks for the replies so far.
The OEM pads appeared padded in the photo, hence why I thought  they might be what I was looking for.
Interesting about the Baglux because I had one on the Pan and I didn't have a problem with my knee then, although there could be other reasons of course.
