Front sprocket
« on: September 23, 2023, 08:06:58 »
Just about to order up a chain and sprocket set,DID and JT.

I’ve noticed the front sprocket I have taken off appears to have a hard rubber ring on each side, presumably some form of anti vibration malarkey.

All the kits I see just have plain front sprockets.

Will this be an issue please.

Cheers

Ian

No issue, but it will be louder. I would get rubberized JT.

The rubber damped sprocket is definitely the best,I have tried both and the rubber one is MUCH quieter,I put a plain one on just before a holiday in the Pyrenees and took it off as soon as I got home.
Suzuki would not spend a few bob more on a rubber damped sprocket for no reason 😂.

Thank you both.

Good enough for me, just ordered kit with rubber damper.

Great advice and just what a forum should be, saves making mistakes.

Cheers
