Gen 1 Silencer length
« on: September 20, 2023, 12:05:22 »
Some aftermarket cans I have seen fitted to the DL1000 make it look like a wheelbarrow, with the silencers sticking out past the end of the bike. Does anyone know the ideal length so the silencers sit properly, and don't melt anything plastic?

The Mivv end cans on mine are 410mm between the ends of the actual silencer body and more like 450mm to the end of the exhaust outlet.
The silencer body ends just before the plastics do but the tips extend just beyond the plastics so no melting of either undertray or the panniers when fitted.

Mivv do make some nice cans.

Ask delkavic?

You could always get some Dominators from Poland and we could see which 1000cc V-twin makes the best noise?

They'll both burble along quietly at 20mph.
