Anyone tried?? According to Suzuki 3.5s 0-60. I couldn't go any faster than attached pic, to many wheelies 😅

I reckon some of us on here will have cars that do 0-60 faster than their Strom.

Do you know what, that's something I've never considered on my K7. All I know is that it's faster than I am. Says a lot about me then really lol.

0-60 figures all depend on the rider.

Suzuki's test riders are probably better than the average rider in order to push bikes to their limits.

I've tested my litte CB500 and I reckon I could take you on upto 60mph ..   :stirpot:  :icon_wink:

I always think that 40mph to 60mph is more important for easy overtaking but 0-100mph + is fun on a very fast bike, as is 100-150mph that's none of the V-Stroms.  :auto-dirtbike: :thumb:

that's OK , similar to a BMW M3/M5 AMG 55 merc. Certainly faster than any of my cars, or most cars on the road come to that. Probably half to a second faster than a cb500

I think electric cars are the only cars that are generally a threat to motorcycle average 0-60 times.  In terms of petrol cars, every day cars don't really come that close.
Motorcycles are much easier to get off the line quickly in comparison to cars.  Cars rarely put up too much of a fight on the traffic light grand prix, other than some modern teslas etc.

Have you considered changing the front sprocket to a either a 16 or 15 tooth and then retake the acceleration test.  Remember the weight (mass) to gear ratio plus power band (rpm range) plays a role.
Yes, the top end speed will suffer when you change to a 15 tooth counter sprocket, however reaching the 60 mph mark will be a bit quicker.
Then as pointed out, the rider's ability wrt a quick reflex along with the ability to make a quick yet controlled pull away, plus the correctly timed gear changes is also key.

I've witnessed the speed of a tesla at the traffic lights ... 😳

At green it was gone before I could even let my clutch out ...  :dl_hyperhysteria:

However,  just up the road I overtook it as its battery was flat ..   lol

 lol

They are bloomin quick off the line.  But that's mainly because it doesn't take any driver/ rider skill to do it.  Foot to the floor and go!  Imagine if modern cars didn't have traction control, there'd soon be a lot of people getting it wrong.

0-60 times are just like power output really, bragging rights.  Apart from that, how a bike makes you feel - even a 125 - is what counts as far as I'm concerned.

A couple of years ago I was behind a Tesla waiting to turn left onto a quick, twisty B road. I know the junction and the road very well and know that in this situation if I don't pass the car in front immediately after turning then I would have to follow through the twisties on double whites for at least a mile.

I watched the traffic and saw that my intended overtake was on, I turned left then had the shock of my life as the Tesla accelerated much quicker than I could have expected. Sadly after catching up I had to sit behind for about a mile before I could pass. They are quick.

They are also ( sometimes ) driven by people who think they need to prove something about electric vehicles.
