Stopping it starting
« on: March 11, 2023, 18:40:34 »
In some respects I shoudn't complain, but every year I get the Vee out after 5 or 6 months storage, press the button and it starts within about 2 seconds. I always think I'd prefer it to spin over a bit so the oil starts circulating & reaching those places it has drained away from. Has anyone found a simple way to delay starting without dismantling half the bike?

I would not bother about it.

TimV - I feel your pain.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

When I re-shimmed my thou, just rotating the crankshaft half a turn had oil being pushed out of oil feeds.
I wouldn't be too concerned.

If you are really desperate for this, you could just pull the fuel injection fuse.

But I really wouldn't worry about it  :thumb:
