Modifying My bike question
« on: February 13, 2023, 10:31:53 »
I love my bike but I would like to change my bike. I would like a deeper throatier engine sound and also a much lower Rev count when cruising at speed for example on the motorway. I'd also like to get rid of a lot of the plastic fairing on the bike and have a more retro appearance. I thought about getting a different bike but I do love my vstrom and the reliability of it. Any ideas on how to do this or should I just get a different bike?

Sound and revs can be sorted with an end can and gearing alterations, none of which are going to be crippling expensive or difficult to achieve.
If you love the DL650 and want a more classic appearance though then an SV650 might be a solid option and you'd probably break even or profit from the swap given the lust for anything adventure related these days.
If you want really throaty and lazy revving then get an SV1000N ;)
