I wasn't sure whether to post this under the "Humour", "Hoax" or "You're taking the Piss" sections.
Salford - Rowland Street, Trafford Road and Broadway junction.

Presumably the darker circle in the centre is a Council Tax black hole?

Mind you the cyclist entering from the road end, does look slightly bemused at the pedestrian just ambling across the middle of it all. Probably on her phone bless her.

It's actually a good solution, it's very busy there at rush hour- all the media city types.
Never understand why bikers are so down on things that separate cyclists from motorised traffic.

The pedestrian appears to be using it correctly, crossing on the tactile section by the dropped kerb.

Those bicycles painted on the pathways look like a crime scene.

I drove around this on my first driving lesson and went through it three times on my bike test.

It's easy if you know which exit you want, just aim for it ignoring all the paint on the road.

I grew up in ST.Albans and had friends in Hemel so this was a regular just after my test.
Fine if traffic was light but the lane swapping during gridlock was impossible.
I took my Canadian relatives round it once and the look on their face when they saw the sign was priceless.

I used to play a lot of gigs in Swindon, if possible I'd get the guitarist to meet me on the Oxford side of the magic roundabout so he could talk me through it. I wouldn't fancy it on a bike!
