The damping on my 1050 rear shock was very poor and had about a 1/4 turn of adjustment, that's all (any more than that made no difference). I went to Luke at T-Tech who is one of the advisors for TrakTive and YSS and is the go-to chap for electronic suspension repairs for BMW's / KTM's / Triumph's / Yamaha's etc. And how I know him. Even though no company listed the DL1050, he did some homework and special ordered a YSS shock (he rates these highly), a spring for my weight and a remote preload fitted at significantly under £500 fitted and set up. I can't recommend him highly enough.
