2017+ DL650 panniers?
« on: July 04, 2022, 21:16:06 »
The Givi V35 that I transferred from my old 2013 version are unsuitable. They sit too high for my wife to get on the bike (she is short, and at 73 has arthritis.)
So suggestions for soft panniers that aren't too high for her to get on the bike and aren't so low that they sit on the end can of the exhaust (which is placed in the worst possible position.) The Givi frames are fitted by the way.
We still want to do our annual two weeks away on the bike, but can't until we find a way round this.

Mine is the 2014 1000 but its similar to the 2017 on 650. I use Givi soft sports bike panniers, can't remember the number off hand. There tapered so clear the exhaust no trouble. One strap fits under the seat the other on top. My wife says they don't get in the way at all. Not waterproof though even with the waterproof covers on! I have home made supports to keep them out of the wheel but Cosmo make nice looking supports if your Givi ones don't work.

Thanks. that's the way my mind is going too. Either Givi or Oxford.
