personalising my 650 ready for distance touring

no nothing to do with luggage but just to advise anyone who has  too large feet for the 650 gear change?
everyone has a choice -leave the bike standard or mess about with it.I had to change my '18 year 650 as the previous owner had cut down the seat and it was too acute a knee bend -so seat was padded up 3" - dead easy for the seat man who did it before and £65 well spent. The foorpeg mounts were lowered by about 45mm using the Adventure Tech plates from USA -the gear side is brilliant as the plate allows several forward/backward positions on the pdeal pivot and the same adjustments up and down use original fitting. So that's sorted my comfort and a high instrument bar has put the phone (or GPS) above the speedo -just where I wanted it! Finally a £20 BT speaker system fitted easily into the shoie so Miss Google can point me right at night, in the wet -or bright sunshine hopefully.
Now where's the passport and covid pass!
