Our postman knows I am mad on bikes and knows that I have a speedway bike, he often pops in to see how things are going with my rehabilitation, and yesterday he came in and said his father in law had passed away and they were clearing his house out and they had found loads of speedway star & speedway post magazines and would I be interesting in them I said yes please, well today he came round with 5 boxes of these immaculate condition magazines starting from 1961 to 1967 in binders weekly for the whole speedway season.

Speedway was my favourite pastime in my teens.I went to the 1963 World Final at the old Wembley Stadium. We drove down from Derby in a Ford Zephyr Mk.1,the M1 had just opened and was virtually empty.Great memories from the past.I still watch it on TV.
