Hammerite clean up
« on: May 07, 2022, 11:39:44 »
Yeah... I know it's only me that would dob a blob of Hammerite on some bare metal as a temporary job but then the brush is junk unless correct thinners are to hand. I use carb cleaner and it works fine and the brush is good to go again when needed.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

My cheap chinese watercolour brushes have been used a few times keeping my frame touched up with hammerite! Brake cleaner seems to do a great job too

As does petrol, I always wash out my brushes in my lawnmower's tank.

Silver paint we have a new Pope, black paint we try again.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.
