+1 for Loobman, great bit of kit at a sensible price of £21.99 delivered to your door with a dual sided oiler.

I have a Scottoiler on my Fireblade and a Loobman on the Strom. I find the Scottoiler works OK but is a bit  temperature dependant for flow rate whereas the Loobman flow is manually operated and so can be adjusted easily to compensate. Plus it's easier to fit and much cheaper.

Cheers.

I've ordered one so once it arrives have to work out where to fit it where I can easily reach and press the button...

Their web page is a little bare.  Anyway, a job to get done over the holiday.

Just been out to the garage for these photos, this is where mine is mounted,I can reach it quite easily on a quiet road and keep the button pressed down for about 10 seconds in the summer, and about 20 seconds in the winter when the oil is quite thick.I have tried many oils over the years and have found that cheap 10w/30 is a good all year round lubricant.
Just make sure that the button returns after use,as after a few years road dirt can get under the button and make it stick, it is easily remedied by pulling the button off the plunger and cleaning inside it.A better solution is to put a black baby sock over it to keep the road muck off it.

If I see a black baby with just one sock, I'll know what happened to the other one.

Or even a black condom…!

I’m also thinking about the loobman. How did you get on fixing the applicator or the swimgarm?

I have just fitted a Tutoro chain oiler. can't rate it yet, as I will be waiting for the spring weather. The appeal to me was it was easy to fit, (no tapping into a vacuum tube). It only delivers the oil when the bike is moving.

     “Artyman”
Here is a picture of the nozzle mounted on the bike, you use the “curly” piece of wire sent in the kit, using tie-wraps the fix it to the swing arm, if you look closely you should see where the hole is at the top of the curve on the clear tubing to make sure the oil runs onto the chain easily under gravity when you release the applicator button.
