DL1050 V DL1050XT seat height
« on: July 16, 2021, 06:16:11 »
Hi

Noticed that Suzuki lists the base model dl1050 seat height as 855mm compared with dl1050xt seat height of 850mm ?

In reality is there much difference in height ?

Cheers Steve

rode 1050xt on lowest and the 1050 on the standard setting as not adjustable ?

I suppose if I struggle there's always the lower seat option

Cheers Steve

You can buy the seat adjustment kit for the standard bike but don't know if it lowers it that 5mm your looking for.  Save yourself money don't buy the low seat just sit on the subframe more comfortable!

Thanks for the heads up about the poor comfort on the lower seat

Will see how things go , can always drop the rear suspension slightly with 10-20 mm longer dog bones

I think I'm just used to be able to flat foot both feet with a bend in the knee

The dl1050 I can flat foot one foot easy with other foot on peg and both feet down on balls of both feet

Love the extra comfort with better knee angle than my nc750x

Cheers Steve

The seat is hard, I have an Airhawk on mine which punctured on Friday leaving a 140 mile trip on that plank of a seat!!, it was 15 years old though, the Airhawks that is.

Compared with the nc750x seat park bench seat it feels luxurious
