Kawasaki KLV1000 2005 for sale - SW London

Hi all

After a few months of ownership and an great 5weeks/4500miles touring trip in Europe, I'm only using the KLV for commuting in central London and no trips planned for 2020... This bike is ripe for touring so a bit of a shame not to use it for what it's supposed to do.

The good:
- Just serviced at 42K miles - new oil & filter, new NGK Irridium plugs
- New EBC front brake pads + fresh brake fluid
- Rebuilt Clutch Master and Slave cylinders + fresh fluid
- Michelin Anakee Adventure tyres fitted front/rear fitted at 39K miles
- New rear brake pads + fresh brake fluid fitted at 39K miles
- Fresh air filter fitted at 37K miles
- DID chain and sprockets fitted at 35K miles (by previous owner)
- Front discs replaced 33K miles (by previous owner)
- New Yuasa battery fitted in 2018 (by previous owner)
- Valves clearances checked by previous owner at 28K miles, all were within spec but a few that were close to the limit have been adjusted so there's not need to check them for a while - very sturdy valvetrain on those bikes
- Comes with a 3 piece set of Kappa/Givi panniers
- Crash bars
- MRA windscreen with adjustable deflector
- MTC SS dual exhaust that let out a lovely tune
- Cigarrette lighter/usb socket
- Phone holder and case (for iPhone 6/7 sizes)
- MOT until May 2020
- Full V5 in my name & 5 previous owners
- HPI clear with certificate to prove
- The bike is ULEZ compliant, I have the emissions certificate from Kawasaki and have registered it with TFL (confirmation letter available)
- Garaged most of its life

The bad:
- Some surface rust on the crash bars and rear subframe which is quite common on older V-Stroms and reflects the overall Suzuki build quality. The bike has been used for what it is supposed to do and has been well maintained throughout.. Overall, it looks really clean and presentable but just isn't a spotless specimen if that's what you are after, just my honest opinion.

Perhaps a little over the odds but the bike really needs nothing doing and is ready for some 2020 touring.

Bike will go up for sale again in the new year, I have 4 other bikes and I’m just not using it... still on 42K miles, head bearings replaced in addition to the above work done, clean MOT until November 2021 - just one advisory on loud exhaust which is how it should be on a twin!!

Brilliant 80/20 tyres, no complaints to be honest.. did about 3/4K miles on them, great feel and confidence inspiring. I was easily scratching the pegs on twisty mountain roads, very stable on gravel roads or wet conditions. They seem to be wearing quite well too and would buy them again!

They’ll feel a bit chunky/knobbly the first 50 miles but don’t worry
