Search Over.... Finally.
« on: March 02, 2010, 19:09:22 »
Finally found a Strom today.
Done the deal on a mint 2009 DL650A. In black with 3,000 miles and got crash bars and bash plate thrown in, plus they will do a 4,000 mile service on it this week.
Pick it up next week... jobs a good one. Pics to follow.

Well done - what did it set you back (if you don't mind us asking)?

£4K after about 2 hours of haggling..... even ended up tossing a coin for the last £50 that neither of us would budge on, which I won.
It was from a dealer so not a bad deal I think.

Cool another one finds a home

Just one question... Did you not fancy a new-one.  I paid 5500, which was 500 extra to get centre stand, heated grips and full set of boxes.  With 0% finance its all good  :thumb:

Anyways enjoy it.

I probably would have bought a new one if I hadn't found a decent used model. In fact I was offered a new DL650X for £5,200.... but in white only.
I'm happy with the deal I got, so it doesn't really matter.

Picked up my Wee today, and apart from it sounding like a squirrels fart, I'm very happy with it. The seat could be more comfortable but its not bad... and I've got a sheepskin to put on it for really long journeys. I didn't even find the screen that bad, had it on the lowest setting and will probably leave it there. I may get the dark tint sports screen, but only because I like the look of it.
I'll get some pics up in a couple of days.
