22500 mile service needed 2017 DL1000 SW London
« on: August 19, 2020, 15:26:46 »
Hi all, my 2017 DL1000 needs its 22.5k service. I called up a main dealer in Chels*a and to be honest, the bloke did not seem to have much idea about what the service involved ("valves" (false, from my Suzuki manual), "tank off", "a big job") about £300-400 all-in. Didn't inspire confidence. Can anyone recommend an independent or dealer somewhere between SW London to Canary Wharf or thereabouts? How much should the service cost? Many Thanks.

Why not DIY?
You can live more in 5 minutes on a bike... than some people will live in their whole lifetime (Burt Munro, World's Fastest Indian)

Allegedly...  :stirpot:

If I lived anywhere near London, I'd only use Kwackboy's gararage for my bikes  :thumb:

Chris Jagger Motorcycles in Walton-On-Thames... top bloke, honest and have seen him at work, he’s meticulous!

He’s more of a triumph bloke though but worth trying him  :icon_wink:

If the bike had the 15k major service, ie valve check, new plugs and air filter, change the oil and filter yourself and bang it on to 30k.
