front indicator
« on: January 16, 2010, 12:42:30 »
Hi all,

Ordered a front left indicator for my klv1000 and received a rear left, called the supplier who suggested that the front and back indicators are the same. On my bike the fronts are a different shape to the rears, is the same on a 1000 strom ?

Thanks.

Rear is longer on my Vee K6 too.  Sometimes there are manufacturers numbers markings etc on the underside of the housings, effectively making them left or right handed as these will be seen if it's fitted to the 'wrong' side

I found this too but noticed that the stem is removable so you can use the stem off an old one if its not damaged?

I don't know who your supplier is but surely he should know and should be able to check of his parts database for the correct part number

I use Redcar Motorcycles :- http://www.Suzuki-spares.co.uk/start.htm

They provide a really professional service and the prices are good too

With the KLV you just need to ask for a K4/5 parts

Just be careful you get the correct indicator because I could be wrong but the connectors vary so you can't plug in the wrong indicator into the wrong socket on the loom (this might just be at the rear)
